Our strong partnerships and programmes in our Cookery College have opened doors to work placements and careers in places such as the House of Commons and many others.
Our small class sizes ensure we are fully dedicated to each student’s success, helping them to develop a tailored pathway towards their future career.
Whatever you want to achieve, Lakefield Cookery College is here to support you on your journey to success. We offer Professional Hospitality Courses for young women in a wide variety of qualifications.
Lakefield has an enthusiasm to bring hospitality to the youngest, that’s why organises many activities for school girls to bring this industry to their attention.
The most well known is the Activity day where the schools girls get a taste of what the hospitality industry involves.
This time the year 11 food and nutrition class from the Convent of Jesus and Mary Language College in Willesden came for a taster day at Lakefield.
To quote some of their responses at the end of the day:
“The experience was fun, I learnt many things about Hospitality”
“I really enjoyed the day and I now have a better understanding of what Hospitality is”
“After my day at Lakefield I am now thinking about doing a level 2 Hospitality diploma”
“The day was different and it has opened me up to new skills and opportunities, all in all I liked it”
Our patron, the professional and award-winning chef, Omero Galluci, spent the morning class demonstrating how to cut and prepare a pork in order to get the most from your meat.
The students could learn the different parts of the pork and the butchery skills needed in order to prepare different meals. They also learned where each cut comes from and the best cooking techniques for each cut to ensure the very best and most delicious results.
The master class was organised by Umbrella Training and our Level 2 Professional Cookery students took also part in it.
